An action-packed summer ahead!

There’s another sizzling, fun-packed programme of activities in store for eligible, school-aged children and young people in Hartlepool over the school summer holidays – and most of them are free!

It’s all part of Hartlepool Holiday Fun – a project run by Hartlepool Borough Council in partnership with different organisations across the town and funded by the Department for Education – providing activities for children and young people over the main school holidays throughout the year. They also get a tasty meal into the bargain.

Under the terms of the Government funding, the programme is primarily aimed at children who receive benefits-related free school meals.

Football, food workshops, Pokemon and Harry Potter games, boxing, cycling, performing arts, swimming, sensory sessions, a forest school and activities for children with SEND are just some of the activities on offer.

Councillor Jim Lindridge, Chair of the Council’s Children’s Services Committee, said: “We’re set for another fantastic summer of Hartlepool Holiday Fun with lots to keep children and young people entertained, help them make new friends and discover new hobbies – plus they’ll get nutritious meals into the bargain.”
