If you’re bored of working from home and want to get away from distractions then look no further than The BIS in Hartlepool.

Hartlepool Borough Council’s award-winning centre for creative sector businesses in Whitby Street has recently launched its new “Space for a Day” initiative.

Based in the centre’s Studio 3, the concept offers professionals access to a fully-equipped flexible workspace.

For just £15 a day, you get access during the hours of 8.30am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am-4.30pm on Fridays to a furnished working space, ground-floor accessibility, wi-fi access, a reception service (during office hours), a 50% reduction on meeting room hire charges and use of the Atrium social space within the building.

You can also attend business events and parking is available (charges apply). Other benefits include access to a communal kitchen, a shower and secure on-site bike storage. Additional services, for which charges apply, include photocopying, scanning and printing.

Councillor Andrew Martin-Wells, Chair of the Council’s Economic Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: “We are constantly looking for new and innovative ways of supporting local businesses and individuals.

“The “Space for a Day” concept offers a flexible and hassle-free workspace without the cost of a traditional office. It provides access to a great range of services, whether you are a freelancer or a more established business looking for a remote site for your employees.”
