A sparkling cast of family favourites at Hartlepool’s Christmas panto

Have you got your tickets yet for Hartlepool’s spectacular, fun-packed Christmas family pantomime, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys?

Seats are selling fast – tickets for the Christmas Eve performance are down to just a limited number – after the unveiling of a fabulous cast featuring some Hartlepool family favourites.

The show runs at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre from Sunday 10th to Thursday 28th December and will be the fifth family panto produced in Hartlepool by AJ Theatrical Productions.

In this magical re-imagining of the classic tale, we follow Peter Pan some years later as he embarks on a new adventure. Captain Hook is back and ready for revenge, so Peter and the Lost Boys are in for a wild ride as they and their friends in Neverland do battle with the evil villain!

There’ll be laughs a minute from local legend and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, comedy impressionist Danny Posthill – returning for his fourth pantomime in his home town - as deckhand Starkey, while back for his seventh Hartlepool show is the irrepressible Gary Martin Davis – the North’s favourite Dame – with a side-splitting performance as Mrs Smee.

Taking the title role of Peter Pan is last year’s leading male, Great British Pantomime Award nominee Luke Adamson, while Hartlepool’s favourite baddy, Anthony Turner (Fleshcreep in last year’s production) will be cranking up the boos and hisses as the monstrous Hook.

The show also features audience favourites Ruff Diamond as the Lost Boys, singing sensation Katelyn Edwards sprinkling her fairy dust as Tinkerbell and introduces Alisha Watkins as Elizabeth Darling.

Add to that AJ Productions’ trademark spectacular scenery and costumes and magical special effects plus some of the biggest musical numbers in panto land and lots of audience participation, and this is one show you definitely won’t want to miss!

Ticket prices start from £18 – you can buy online at www.hartlepooltownhalltheatre.com, or from the Box Office on 01429 890000 (open Tuesdays to Fridays 10am – 4.30pm and Saturdays 10am – 4pm). Alternatively you can buy them in person at Hartlepool Art Gallery in Church Square (open Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am – 5pm).

Jacqueline Turnbull, Producer, Writer and Director of the pantomime, said: “I’m thrilled to be bringing our seventh pantomime to Hartlepool this Christmas and what better way to do it then with the swashbuckling story of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys!

“Being from Hartlepool myself, I always have a ball creating a show just for Hartlepool from right here in Hartlepool. The connections we have built with our audience over the last three years have been invaluable and judging by the overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s Christmas pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk, we’re looking to have another sell-out run this year!”

Councillor Bob Buchan, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Adult and Community-Based Services Committee, said: “It’s never too early to start thinking about the Hartlepool Christmas panto and this year we’ve lined up a swashbuckling show to enchant the whole family, packed with adventure and, of course, lots of laughs!

“We’re delighted to welcome back to the Town Hall Theatre lots of Hartlepool’s favourite panto stars and some fantastically talented new faces too.

“Book your tickets today, and give your family an extra special Christmas treat to look forward to!”
