Owen Craig Riddle, the Labour and Co-operative Party candidate, has been elected as a Councillor in the Burn Valley Ward of Hartlepool Borough Council. The result of the by-election is as follows:

Stephen James Ashfield (Green Party Candidate) - 36

Barry McKinstray (Liberal Democrats) - 89

Amanda Elizabeth Napper (Reform UK) - 399

Owen Craig Riddle (Labour and Co-operative Party) - 475
