A fun-packed programme in store for Hartlepool’s free Fireworks Spectacular

The programme for Hartlepool’s FREE Fireworks Spectacular has been unveiled – and it’s set to be another fantastic event for all the family!

Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council – with a big ‘thank you!’ to our headline sponsor X-energy - it’s on Friday 8th November on Seaton Carew prom.

The fireworks will be launched from the area of the beach stretching from the bus station to the children’s play area, giving the audience a larger viewing area from which to enjoy the display and room to spread out. For safety reasons there will be no access to the beach itself.

The fun starts from 4pm. Get ready to dance and dazzle with Groove and Glow—a vibrant, interactive disco on wheels!

Featuring a glowing, light-up trike and lively performers playing timeless disco beats, this exciting street party from Curious Arts invites all ages to join the fun, light up the night and groove together!

There will also be a children’s fairground and face-painting (charges apply) and throughout the event there’ll be lots of tasty snacks and drinks on sale from a host of stalls including local ice cream companies plus The Seahouse Coffee Box, Napoli Woodfired Pizza, Aunt Nats and Doughvine Desserts.

Joining the party will be Amy Oakden from BBC Tees, who will be compering the event.

Another highlight of the event will be performances of Azra and the Dragon by Bee Enchanted in front of the Clock Tower – an enchanting show combining puppetry, stunning LED props, live music and dance.

Azra is a captivating, family-friendly performance inspired by Risara Langley's book. The story follows a young girl who discovers a dragon egg in her rooftop bed, left by her mother. To hatch the egg, Azra must harness the power of light, immersing audiences in a magical journey.

Then at 6.30pm it’s time for the fireworks! Get ready for another dazzling display lighting up the Hartlepool skyline, set to some rocking party albums by Queen, Katy Perry, Oasis, The Prodigy, Flo Rider and Sam and the Womp.

The event will finish at 7pm.

Details of parking and any road closures will be announced shortly.

Councillor Pamela Hargreaves, Chair of the Council’s Economic Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: “Our free Fireworks Spectacular is one of the best-loved events in the Hartlepool calendar and we continue to deliver it each year because it brings so much pleasure to residents of all ages at a time when so many are facing cost-of-living challenges.

“It’s a celebration of Guy Fawkes’ Night but more than that it’s a celebration of Hartlepool and the spirit of its people – all of us together in one great community.

“It’s set to be another fantastic event and we’re delighted once again to have the support of X-energy as our headline sponsor.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone on Friday 8th November.”
