Big Lime Triathlon 2025 – entries now open
Published Wednesday, 11th December 2024Entries are now being taken for Hartlepool’s 2025 Big Lime Triathlon which will take place on Sunday 10th August.
It is again being organised by specialist company Wild Deer Events in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council.
There is a range of competitive options, including a standard distance triathlon and aqua bike (swim/cycle) event, a sprint distance triathlon and aqua bike events and separate open water swims of 750 metres and 1,500 metres.
The standard triathlon will comprise a 1,500-metre swim, 40km cycle and 10km run, while the sprint triathlon will be made up of a 750-metre swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.
Relay options are available for both triathlons.
The standard aqua bike event will comprise a 1,500-metre swim and 40km cycle, and the sprint aqua bike event will consist of a 750-mtre swim and 20km cycle.

Councillor Gary Allen, Chair of the Council’s Adult and Community Based Services Committee, said: “The events are open to competitors of all abilities and once again the day promises to be a fantastic occasion, with seasoned athletes, fun runners and complete beginners coming together backed by the enthusiastic support of spectators whose presence creates a great atmosphere.
“I would encourage anyone interested in taking part to book early to secure their place.”
