Tenders invited to run seasonal funfair

The authority is seeking offers for a five-year seasonal licence running from 2026-2030.

It is an opportunity to lease around 0.7 acres of land at The Front, to the rear of the bus station, for the purpose of operating funfair rides, amusements and catering vehicles.

The appointed operator must be willing to work with the Council to help put together an entertainment package that puts Seaton Carew on the map.

The operating hours of the funfair are restricted to 10am-8pm Monday-Sunday.

The tenant will be responsible for all costs relating to the operation of the site, including business rates, utility charges, security, grass cutting, reinstatement, waste collection, paving repairs, storage and statutory consents such as street trading licences.

The Council is looking to let the land by informal tender and the closing date for tenders to be received is 12pm on Friday 8th August.
