Hartlepool students praised as results are announced

Students in Hartlepool have been praised today as they received GCSE results and technical and vocational qualifications.

Councillor Melanie Morley, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Children’s Services Committee, said: “I would like to send my warmest congratulations to all Hartlepool’s students receiving results and qualifications today.

“A lot of hard work and dedication has gone into reaching this point and they should feel very proud of all they have achieved.

“I would also like to pay tribute to their parents, carers, teachers and other school staff who have diligently supported and encouraged them throughout their studies – this is a day for them to feel proud too.

“Whatever next step these young people are taking – whether that’s college, sixth form, an apprenticeship or other opportunities – I wish them all every success and the very best of luck.”
