Summer fun for young people
Published Tuesday, 18th July 2017THERE’S lots of fun in store for young people across Hartlepool this summer thanks to the Council’s Youth Support Service.
Daily
sessions – costing just £2.50 and including a free healthy lunch – will include
photography, sport, art, music, and community action.
Suitable
for any young people between the ages of twelve and sixteen, the themed days
will be delivered at Throston Youth Project and Rossmere Youth Centre.
Young
people taking part will have the opportunity to gain nationally recognised
awards and the team at Hartlepool Youth Service will be happy to advise further
on this.
The
summer programme – called Beat the Boredom – starts on Monday 24 July
and runs until Friday 1 September.
Councillor Alan Clark, Chair of Hartlepool Borough Council’s Children’s Services Committee, said: “This is a really exciting programme for young people and offers the chance for them to meet new friends and stay active over the summer holiday.”
