Don’t miss fantastic day of free family fun

FAMILIES looking for a fantastic day of FREE fun should head along to the Hartlepool Fun Day this weekend.

Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council in conjunction with Rift House Residents’ Association, the event is taking place at Rift House Recreation Ground, Kingsley Avenue on Saturday 19 August from 11am to 4pm.

The packed programme includes fairground rides, market stalls, magic shows, craft workshops, Army recruitment stands and much more.

Animal lovers can also watch fierce falcons hunt at a birds of prey show, greet some furry, friendly meerkats and llamas and get back in the saddle for pony rides.

The annual event is supported by Hartlepool Council, Thirteen Group, The Rifty Youth Project and Rift House Residents’ Association, with all proceeds used to directly benefit the local community.

Councillor Christopher Akers-Belcher, Co-Chair of Rift House Residents’ Association and Leader of Hartlepool Borough Council, said, “Everyone is welcome and this is a great opportunity for families to come along and enjoy some time together.

“Whether you enjoy watching tricks on the BMX skills track, scaling climbing walls or browsing market stalls for quality finds, there really is something for everyone.

“We would urge all Hartlepool families to head along and enjoy a fantastic day of free summer fun.”
