Follow these steps to book your ceremony with Hartlepool Registration Service.
1. Choose your date
Decide when you would like to get married or register your civil partnership.
2. Check your venue
If you want your ceremony at a licensed venue, check that it’s available on your chosen date and time.
Important: Do not confirm your venue booking until you’ve checked that a registrar is available.
3. Contact us to book
Get in touch to make your booking. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required. This will be taken off the total cost of your ceremony.
4. Return your agreement
Send back your Terms and Conditions Agreement within two weeks of booking.
5. Give notice
You must give notice at your local register office.
6. Pay your balance
- if one or both of you are giving notice in Hartlepool: pay the remaining balance when you give notice, or at least 2 months before the ceremony – whichever comes first
- if neither of you are giving notice in Hartlepool: pay the full balance 2 months before the ceremony
Additional payment information
- if your ceremony is less than 2 months away, full payment is required when booking
- if your ceremony is in the Civic Suite, full payment of £68.50 is required at the time of booking
