6 Months to 1 Year

Breastfeeding

As your baby grows and gets older breastfeeding is still very important, when your baby reaches six months of age, they require more calories and nutrients than your breast milk alone can give. Introducing solid foods should begin when your baby is around 6 months, but you can continue to breastfeed your baby during this time.  Please see our weaning tab for information on how to wean your baby (LINK).  Below is some information you may find useful if you are continuing breastfeeding your baby.
