Darren Hankey, Hartlepool College of Further Education
Darren is the Principal and Chief Executive of Hartlepool College of Further Education.
The College’s history can be traced back to 1849 and it has a long and well established track record of providing high quality vocational education and training. It excels in the delivery of apprenticeships and its achievements rates have been among the next in the country for the last ten years. Furthermore, the College is the only college in the Tees Valley to have ‘outstanding’ Ofsted judgements for areas of its work.
The College plays an integral role in Hartlepool life and this is the reason for involvement in the Town Deal Board – to further strengthen this approach.
